“Zycolchin 0.5 mg Tablets – Trusted Colchicine Treatment for Gout & Inflammatory Conditions”

🔬 What is Zycolchin 0.5 mg?

Zycolchin 0.5 mg is an oral tablet formulation containing Colchicine, a medication primarily used to prevent and treat gout attacks. It also has applications in familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) and pericarditis. Colchicine works by reducing inflammation and pain caused by uric acid crystal buildup in joints.

⚙️ How Zycolchin Works

Colchicine interferes with the migration of white blood cells to the sites of inflammation caused by uric acid crystals. This:

  • Reduces inflammation
  • Alleviates pain and swelling in joints
  • Prevents recurrent gout attacks
  • Modifies the body’s inflammatory response in FMF and pericarditis

💊 Indications (Uses)

Zycolchin 0.5 mg is indicated for:

  • Acute gout attacks
  • Prevention of recurrent gout flares
  • Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF)
  • Pericarditis (inflammation of the heart’s lining) (off-label)
  • Behçet’s disease (off-label)

📋 Dosage and Administration

Always take Zycolchin as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Acute Gout Flare:

  • Initial dose: 1–1.2 mg (e.g., 2 tablets) at the first sign of an attack
  • Followed by 0.5–0.6 mg every hour or 0.5 mg every 2 hours, up to a maximum total of 6 mg per course

Gout Prophylaxis:
